Health

ICFDR promotes health awareness through campaigns, awareness programs and camps. In future, we also plan to establish health centers, ambulance services in under developed areas to increase medical aid on regular basis. We believe that medical and health facilities and access in this day and age shouldn’t be meager but something that everyone should have accessibility to, which seems to be a challenge in rural areas. We at iCFDR envision reduction in mortality rates resulting from accidents, pregnancy complications, neo-natal and infant mortality by provision of ambulance and emergency services in critical time of need when these services are most needed but its access is limited.

ICFDR also plans to raise awareness on maternal health and child health, hygiene, prevention of non-communicable diseases and any other specific disability for example blind children, mental retardation etc. We plan to work hand in hand with the local coordinators in a given community by organizing health camps for medical check up, giving vaccinations, supplying nutritious supplements, delivering informal health care tips in schools and day care centers.

We also look forward to collaborating with other agencies that has similar vision as us and are looking for support and vice versa. These kinds of activities help the otherwise ignorant and unaware community by empowering them with knowledge and resources to improve their overall quality of life.
