At iCFDR we are committed to the betterment of the marginalised sections of the society and we are fundraising for those who are affected by
COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and lockdown to control it. The worst affected are the frontline workers, daily wage labourers, and families with low income. Given the current lockdown across the country, people with a fixed source of income can still find a way out but these sections of the society are not able to find food and shelter leave alone the required precautions to protect themselves from the virus.

Apart from these, due to lockdown, most of the families are unable to procure the essential goods required, majorly because their direct source of income has been compromised. iCFDR plans to distribute such essential goods as much as we can to the families, so that no one goes hungry, or has to live in inhumane conditions due to the lockdown. The final objective is to let people know they are not alone and we stand with them throughout. We are planning to distribute the following material for homeless and slum dwellers:

  • Food supplies packet
  • Soaps and Washing Powder
  • Disinfectants – Sanitizers
  • Masks
  • Sanitary Napkins for Girls

We are planning to implement the same in a big way in Delhi, Mumbai, Bareilly, Dehradun, Badaun, Itanagar and if we raise more resources than we can reach other cities too.

We are working to make essential items available for all sections of society is more important than sanitizers and gloves. These are the times that will put humanity on trial and we can’t afford to fail. iCFDR is raising awareness about COVID-19 and preventive measures for general masses and frontline workers. To educate people about the virus, the ways it can spread and the absolute need for social distancing amongst others. We plan to eradicate the rumours and the false confidence that people might have about COVID-19.
